As on the Wikipedia page, The Google People Cards is a knowledge base used by Google and its services to enhance its search engine's results with information gathered from people in India, after launching India now google has launched in some African countries, such as Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
It allows individuals create their profile on its search engine.
This card help people find and distinguish you from others when they search for your name on Google.

What are the Benefits of a Google People Card?
People cards are like virtual visiting cards and they can help a person highlight the websites and social media profiles they want others to visit, along with other important information they want to give out.
These card is important for;

- Website owners: Wanting to gain popularity and show the website they own.

How to Create a Google Virtual People Card
The Google People Card is not available for all countries especially for some countries in Africa. The only countries where it is available are South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya. However, the google people card is available for European countries, Australia, United States, Canada, India.
If you are not located in any of the countries listed above then you got to grab a VPN. You can get premium VPN for free from APK Premiumz.

If everything is set, then lets head on to the procedure. We will progress step by step.
Step 1: Setting up VPN for Non listed countries
- Download a good premium VPN from APK Premiumz and install it.
- Launch the VPN app
- Now select a server located in India and click connect.
- Once connected it will look similar to the image below. In my case I'm using IPVanish VPN.
- Good, our VPN is connected. Now let's move to the next step.

Step 2: Clearing Browser Cache in System Settings
If you are using your regular browser for trick which I think is the case, you will need to clear the cache in the system settings for a new genuine session in India. The reason of doing this is to make your browser not to load any default history of your in Google because the browser uses the cookies and cache to serve you with your already saved browser data.
To clear your browser cache, follow the steps below:
- On your main screen, open your device system settings.
- Navigate to Apps & notifications and select the browser from the list of apps.
- Now click on Storage.
- On the next screen, click on Clear cache.
- This will clear the browser cache and when you will launch the app, you will be served with a new Indian session paying attention to the fact that you are connected to a VPN.

Step 3: Setting up Your Google Profile
This step is for everyone and it is not meant to be skipped. Make sure you are signed in to your Google account before proceeding.
Follow the instructions below to go about this:
- Open your browser preferably Chrome Browser and search for "add me to google" or "add me to search" (without quotes). Any will just do the job. You will be shown the search results as seen in the image below.
Just click on Get Started.
- You will be taken to a page where you will have to create your profile. See the image below:
The information required here are;
Your Name,
Location,
About you,
and your Occupation. - This information is important as it will be the primary information to be displayed on your profile. Just provide it. For location, you will need an Indian random/fake address generator.
- There are some additional information to provide on your likeness. You can provide as few or as much as possible.
The information to provide here are;
Work,
Education,
Hometown,
Website,
Social Profiles,
Email,
Phone Number (required for verification). You can get an Indian virtual phone number for verification here.
- Provide them and you will be done with this step.

Step 4: Previewing Your Profile
After you must have setup everything, the next thing to do is to preview your profile.
- When all the information is correctly entered, Click on the blue preview button to preview your profile.
- You can see the below Screenshot to see how the preview looks like.
- Now just click save to save the preview and display your profile on Google search.
- You will receive a little popup saying your search card has been updated and will appear in Search results shortly.
- You can as well click on View Search card to see how it appears on Google.

Step 5: Searching Yourself on Google
Once you have setup the google people card, you will start appearing on search results as a celebrity. This is how you search for yourself.
- Open your web browser (any of your choice)
- Search for the name you registered on the google people card.
- Now see the results below and how it appears on the results page.
- As I just created the card, it won't appear on the results page if I search for the name directly. But in some few moments, it will appear.
- Congratulations on creating your Google People Card. Now you are a celebrity of the web.

Major Issues Faced When Creating a Google People Card
Though the steps seem to be easy to follow, some people fail in creating the virtual people card and thy end up saying that it is fake. You should know that you might face some of the issues below.
Add me to search not showing
This is the most common issue faced out there and people that face these are those that did not check the eligibility requirements. To succeed and pass this issue, you need to be eligible by possessing the requirements below:
- You must have Web & App Activity turned on
- You need to be using a personal Google account (i.e., name @gmail.com)
- You must be located in India
- Your language must be set to English
- The feature is only available on mobile devices (Android, iPhone or iPad)
- You will need a mobile browser or the Google Search App
In the case if one of those isn't available, you won't succeed to create your google people card.

Get Started button not showing when I search for Add me to search
This issue is similar to the above issue. You need to be located in India to be eligible and for the Get Started button to show.
