The next thing I did was to find an ATM that supported withdrawals from the Green Dot card. Of course, I had to search online, and I found out that most ATMs that support VISA and Mastercard will let you withdraw money from your Green Dot card.
Oh, and as of now, due to fraud and security concerns, Green Dot card withdrawals are only available in the US, so be sure you're in the territory before finding an ATM.
Step 3: Add the Cash to Your Cash App through Reload Locations or Your Bank
I had two options to add the money I withdrew from Green Dot to Cash App: through Cash App reload locations, which involves using the Paper Money deposit feature (and comes at a flat $1 cost), or depositing to my bank account before transferring to Cash App.
Of course, the first option was the most straightforward, though it came at a fee, but I later realized that I could actually deposit money through these reload locations for free since I have a Cash App Green status.
So I went with the first option since the second is considerably longer. You can still use the second method if you don't have a Green status yet to avoid paying fees. You'll just need to visit your bank branch, deposit money into your account, and transfer the money to your Cash App balance.
The entire process can happen in just a single business day, and it'll depend on how fast you are able to access an ATM and top up your Cash App balance.
Does GoBank Work with Cash App?
Yes, GoBank works with Cash App through the GoBank debit card.
After linking the card, you can also transfer money from your GoBank to Cash App, which will incur a 1.75% of the total amount you are transferring.
